Juventus Vs Chelsea Matchday | Team News And Starting Lineup

Juventus Vs Chelsea is set to go down later today as they both will be gunning for three points that could see them make it six out of two, MySportPlug reporting.

The match which is set to go down in Italy will be another encounter between the Old Ladies and Premier League side only met four times in the Champions League.

Their first meeting back in 2009 saw Chelsea winning one of the legs by 1-0 before playing a draw in the second which was in the knockout stages.

Next time they met was in 2012 when the London side won the Uefa Champions League, but the Blues lost against Juventus 3-0 after drawing the first leg.

This time they will both be looking to make something happen as Juve will be with their home advantage which could be the decider despite their shaky form this season.

The Italian side has been struggling this season with them losing Cristiano Ronaldo who returned back to Manchester United.

Meanwhile Chelsea who have only lost one game this season will be looking to bounce back after their defeat to Manchester City in the League.

Thomas Tuchel didn’t go with his usual formation which ended up with them struggling to make anything happen with 5-man midfield.

Both teams are currently dealing with major injury blows and also players missing due to coronavirus which seems to have hit the camp of the visitors.

Juventus will be without Paulo Dybala and also ex Chelsea star Alvaro Morata who both have been ruled out after sustaining injuries during their League game.

The visitors are the side who have most of their first team players out injured with the likes of Mason Mount and Reece James joining the list with two other team members ruled out.

Christian Pulisic still recovering from ankle injury after International break as NGolo Kante was confirmed to have tested positive for Coronavirus.

It will be a very tough encounter regardless of how the form of the home side looks with them looking to get the win which would boost their moral.

Thomas Tuchel will be looking to go back to his usual formation after making few changes in the last two games against Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Edouard Mendy (Goalkeeper); Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen (Defenders); Cesar Azpilicueta, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso (Midfielders); Kai Havertz, Timo Werner (Attackers); Romelu Lukaku (Striker).

A strong squad will also be named by Max Allegri who will be without Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala who are both injured for the side.
