FT: Nigeria 3-1 Sudan (AFCON) 2022 | HIGHLIGHTS

Goals coming from Samuel Chukwueze alongside Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon saw Nigeria beat Sudan 3-1 in AFCON, MySportPlug reporting.

The Super Eagle of Nigeria automatically book their ticket to the next round of the Africa Cup Of Nations after smashing their opponent in an encounter which wasn’t so stressful making it 2 victories out of two matches played already.

Their next game will be against Guinea-Bissau which they have to win to make it a perfect result ending the group stages which they will meet a more favorable next round opponent who finishes second in their own round of games played in the groups.

Nigeria Vs Sudan Highlights


An interesting start to the encounter in the first half which the Super Eagles wasted no time in getting things going by making sure they showed dominance from kickoff until the end of the 45 minutes of the match.

Nigeria scored the opening goal in the 3rd minute thanks to Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze who was brilliantly assisted by Moses Simon to make the scoreline 1-0 without wasting anytime after kickoff.

The match continued with Sudan holding off their opponent from scoring more as they also created some opportunities for themselves which was easily dealt without causing any problems as they kept on going.

Taiwo Awoniyi made it 2-0 in the 45th minute after another powerful play saw the on loan Liverpool striker making things increased from an outstanding finishing that double the advantage as it carried on.

The first half of the match played out and ended with Nigeria taking a 2-0 advantage as they both headed inside for the break against Sudan who were no match for the Super Eagles after a good 45 minutes of fantastic football.

They came in the second half hungry for more goals which was the same as the side who were trailing as they both combine to make the 2nd 45 minutes an amazing one as goals were recorded after done on the pitch.

Moses Simon immediately increased Nigeria lead in the encounter to 3-0 in the 48th minute which saw the man from Nantes getting his name on the scorers board after helping assist the first goal which was scored by Samuel Chukwueze very early in the game.

Sudan had nothing to do stopping that goal from going in as they had no choice than to continue the match hoping they will get something for themselves after all the efforts put in against one of the biggest in the continent of Africa football.

Walieldin Khidir pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 70th minute after Ola Aina was shown a yellow card for a foul which he committed before the away side for the encounter scored to make the scoreline 3-1 as it progressed.

That was the last action as the match ended with Nigeria beating Sudan 3-1 to qualify into the next round of the AFCON with one game left to be played against Guinea-Bissau who go up facing Egypt later today with hopes of them getting something.
