FT: Chelsea 2-0 West Ham Women (Women’s Super League) 2021-22 | HIGHLIGHTS

Bethany England and Erin Cuthbert scored as Chelsea beat West Ham United Women 2-0 in the Barclays Women’s Super League, MySportPlug reporting.

It was a tough match for Emma Hayes side who struggled in the first half to make anything good happen knowing how much they needed to make a win happen as their form in their past few encounter hasn’t been that great for them this season.

It wasn’t a good start for the Blues who kickoff the first half of the encounter struggling to gain control of things which also saw them creating few early opportunities but couldn’t find a way to make it count going forward in attack.

West Ham United had so much going for them against Chelsea as they also managed to cause so much problems whenever they get the opportunity to go forward attacking as their defense was perfectly balanced giving their opponent no room.

The Barclay’s Women’s Super League encounter carried on with more opportunities being created but nothing could change the outcome as it progressed further in the the half hour mark which the scoreline was still the same 0-0 stalemate.

The first half of the encounter ended with Chelsea 0-0 against West Ham United Women who made sure they held the Champions of England to a stalemate after 45 minutes played between both of them at the Kingsmeadow Stadium.

Solid start to the second half as the Blues came in the better side looking to make sure they get the three points to move them second on the Barclay’s Women’s Super League which Arsenal are currently number one on the table with one postponed game.

Bethany England came in and responded immediately by scoring the opener which made the scoreline 1-0 in favor of Chelsea after a good buildup saw the striker making it her 50th goal in the Women’s Super League since he started playing.

West Ham United Women held on tight as the match progressed with more pressure coming for the Blues which saw Emma Hayes making more changes as they carry on looking to secure their advantage until end of the encounter at their home ground.

Nothing else happened as they carried on further with more coming from both ends which almost saw the Hammer leveling things, but Ann-Katrin Berger was equal to the task by pulling an incredible save to keep things the way it was as they approached the final 10 minutes to be played.

Erin Cuthbert scored in the 82nd minute of the game which saw the Blues making things go out of reach for their fellow London Neighbors, thanks to another good display from them they setup for another goal wrapped things off to 2-0 as they enter final few minutes.

That goal ended things as Chelsea claimed all three points to move second on the Women’s Super League table after an incredible 2-0 victory against West Ham United who gave them a good run for their money despite how everything ended between them.
