FT: Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea (English Premier League) 2021-22 | HIGHLIGHTS

Hakim Ziyech scored as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 0-1 in the English Premier League which saw one of the Moroccan goal ruled out by VAR, MySportPlug reporting.

The encounter was filled with so much talking points coming into it after Chelsea recently claimed their FIFA Club World Cup title after beating Brazilian side Palmeiras in the final, and this encounter wasn’t an easy one for them as they fought until the end before getting something out of the match which could have gone another way for them.

Hakim Ziyech first goal was ruled out as offside by VAR after an attack saw Romelu Lukaku strike saved only to be placed in front of the Moroccan who made sure his finishing wasn’t bad before hitting the back of the net but unfortunately it was reviewed and it was immediately remove before he finished off another one.

Both teams kicked off the first half with equal amount of dominance in the few seconds which saw them trying to balance each other out as they pushed forward also looking to make something happen in the 45 minutes.

Nothing changed for both teams despite all the ball possession from the Blues which saw the first half of the encounter ending between Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea with a 0-0 goalless scoreline after an amazing 45 minutes of football which could have gone anywhere with numerous amounts of opportunities created.

A good start in the second half of the encounter saw both of them coming inside to finish off from where they left in the first 45 minutes which couldn’t provide any goals despite all the amount of opportunities that was created by them both going forward which couldn’t be executed on many occasions.

Chelsea were good with the ball as they controlled things searching for the opening goal which wasn’t looking like happening anytime soon for them with so much bodies pushed forward as they were desperately hoping the scoreline could change in their favor knowing he far behind they are on the English Premier League.

Crystal Palace weren’t that bad for themselves as they came close on many occasion but thanks to good defending from the Blues they were able to keep them out from scoring as Edouard Mendy was rarely called into action with his defenders doing most of the job before the ball got to him.

Hakim Ziyech scored in the 75th minute of the second half with a good strike from Romelu Lukaku which was saved by Butland only for the winger from Morocco smashing it inside the net, but VAR reviewed it and it was canceled as they continued the encounter with scoreline still on 0-0 as they carried on.

The match was hitting the final stages which things finally paid off after an incredible delivery from Marcos Alonso which Hakim Ziyech finished off this time and it was counted with the Blues taking a 0-1 lead in the match which saw Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea ending with the scoreline as they claimed the three points needed.
