Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has been nominated for the player of the year award for the national team, MySportPlug reporting.
The United States of America player has had an amazing year which saw him winning titles both for club and national team leading to his recently won FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea adding to his collection of titles claimed from last year till date.
Christian Pulisic might be adding another accolades to his name after being nominated for another prestige award for player of the year he will be going head to head with other top players for a chance to win the award which is expected to be announced sooner.
The awards is for the year 2021 which will see him go head to head against another English Premier League player in Michail Antonio who has also been exceptional for the Hammers for over the past few years with outstanding goal record for the club who currently occupy fourth on the table for this season.
Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich is also on that list of players making it a very competitive one between them all as other names like Jonathan David, Hirving Lozano and Weston McKenzie of Juventus getting themselves involved in the category which will be hard to pick one from as they have all done well.
The winners for 2019 edition was Napoli forward Hirving Lozano which saw his incredible performance for both club and country landing him the award beating other top names for the male category, while Alex Morgan won for the female after an extraordinary year for the mother who once played for Tottenham on loan.
Christian Pulisic will be hoping to claim the award knowing he won United States of America player of the year award which winning the one for his continent will be his next target , and his performance for country could see him land the milestone, although it won’t be an easy one for him against a tough opponents.
Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies also stand a big chance in winning the awards as he has been putting up some good displays helping the Bavarians to dominate Germany which also saw them claiming some titles, but their dominance in Europe ended without them being able to go forward last season.
Michail Antonio has been scoring for fun with West Ham United but lack of winning titles might throw him off the serious contender for the awards which saw his name being included after an amazing season which his club almost made it to the UEFA Champions League, but unfortunately they dropped and only got Europa spot.
All the nominees will be weighing their chances of winning the award which will see them being named the best player in their continent after an incredible 2021 which they gave it all their best for both club and country including Christian Pulisic who won the biggest amongst them all.

The Chelsea man will be hoping to continue winning as this award has so much possibility of being his despite his season not so good due to injury but he has managed to stay consistent both for his club and country helping them on many front to make things happen.
His performance saw him won the UEFA Champions League last season while going on to win the Super Cup and now the FIFA Club World Cup added to that list with the player taking part and having a hand in making sure the Blues made everything possible as they have Carabao Cup final loading against Liverpool.
